Reflective Art Design, Charlotte, NC
I was raised in a very artistic family that fostered a special connection and appreciation for art from an early age. Many of my earlier years were spent raising a family and running a business, however, when unforeseen health issues came to light, I discovered art as my passion and one of my greatest outlets as I explored different medium, styles and techniques.
As a self-taught artist, my curiosity and fearless approach unearthed a passion that colors my life with pure joy and freedom. My style is ever-changing and evolves with family, tastes in music, and daily outlooks. I love creating art with an array of vivid colors that enables thought to mind, soul, and heart, and I regularly attend training seminars; Tracy Verdugo and Donna Downey being two of my favorites.
When I begin each new and original painting, there are rarely any preconceived notions about what the completed piece will look like. Paint flows naturally adding layer upon layer building up to the completed piece, which is often full of color, depth, and textures revealing hints of the underlying pentimento. Acrylic paint, permanent inks, alcohol inks, and resins are used in various combinations to build multiple layers and enable bold and rich colors.
