Fercott Photography, Huntersville, NC
I started my photography as a hobby in 2000, while working in a camera shop in Raleigh, NC. In 2008, one of my friends had more faith in me than I did in myself and “flattered” me into shooting her wedding. One wedding led to two, two weddings led to other family portraits and events, and the rest is history, or rather, a business. Thanks to the encouragement of my family and friends, and also thanks to an unforeseeable change in my life, I officially declared “fercott photography” as a business in 2009.
The name “fercott” was given to me as a nickname in high school (I wonder if the guy knew what he was starting at the time!). It comes from the last syllables of my name, the “fer” from Jennifer and the “cott” from Indicott. Match it up with the rhyming phonics of “photography” and the name is a no brainer! Thus, “fercott photography” was born.
