I been taking photographs for over 40 years, growing up in New Jersey, only twenty miles from New York City. But it was not city life, as we had 20 acres literally inside the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, inspiring a lifelong interest in birds and the natural world. I moved to Oklahoma on 1982, and over the years traveled to many areas of the country and have been fortunate to spend some time in Italy.
I photograph a variety of subjects, including images from the human, natural and sacred worlds. One of my collectors shared a great insight. He said my work “shows things that have been here a long time, will be here a long time, and show their development of character.” I thought that was wonderful description, tying together my images of landscapes and nature, vintage buildings and objects, centuries old Spanish missions and even older things from Italy. So I’ll continue photographing whatever catches my eye!
