Latin Art Jewelry, Charlotte, NC
I am Isabel Wood, about 6 years ago; I started to design and to make a unique type of jewelry, called tagua nut jewelry. My whole life, I have enjoyed anything related to arts, especially anything that involves to make art using my hands. My desires of making art became a reality, when I started to play with pieces of tagua nut seeds, original from my home country Ecuador. I sold my first piece of jewelry to a very good friend of mine, who absolutely loved her jewelry, and asked me, to make some more for her friends. After this, I decided to learn how to make jewelry, more professionally, and I took several jewelry classes in Kennesaw, Ga. In 2010 I started to make my own design and to created my own jewelry line, using only seeds from South America, such us; tagua nut seeds and acai dry berries. I participated in my first craft show in 2011, and since them I have participated through the years in many more around Georgia, Alabama, California, Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida, and lately in North Carolina and South Carolina, since I moved to live in Charlotte 6 months ago. My jewelry business name is Latin Art Jewelry. www.latinartjewelry.com
I sell my jewelry in few stores around Georgia, California and North Carolina. I enjoy teaching to other how to make jewelry, for fun or for business purpose. But my passion is to attend art and craft show, talk to people face to face about my art.
