Cristina has always been creative and drawn to the Art world… from just pure appreciation to dabbling in all kinds of mediums, taking numerous courses as well as eventually teaching them. But what she has found out about herself was what really interested her was creating something with intense color, texture as well as dimension. This has led her into her own world of colorful textured, layered abstracts in both her jewelry as well as her paintings and furniture pieces.
Her aim is to encourage viewers to explore them not just with their eyes, but with the additional sense of touch.
She currently lives in Greer, SC where her studio is located. She started using resin several years ago with her 3D picture jewelry and has evolved into also creating fine art in a larger capacity with her wall artwork and furniture. Resin has become her base medium and has allowed her to accomplish her goals. Her desire is to constantly keep evolving and to push her own limitations, getting out of her comfort zone in order to create higher quality work that makes an immediate impact.
