Philip David DeCarlo was born in Rome, New York in 1961. Having grown up in the foothills of the great Adirondack Mountains, his love of nature inspired his artistic vision throughout his life.
Phil has always been fascinated by nature’s pallet of beauty in the form of grain, color and texture. He was even more intrigued, at a young age, how others reacted to such beauty as well. These interests were cultivated over the years and developed when he opted for a degree in art and graphic design in college.
This resulted in many artistic medium endeavors such as oil painting, pen/ink drawings as well as three demential art forms. Philip recently retired from a long 35+ year career in senior management to pursue his love of woodworking. He is married, has three daughters and now resides in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
