Kimberly’s credentials include a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design, training in aging in place design standards, and training as a Certified Charrette Planner from the National Charrette Institute. She served as a member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) and as a member of the steering committee for Women in Architecture (a division of AIA-American Institute of Architects, in Tampa Bay). Kim served for five years on the Board of Directors for Self-Reliance, the Center for Independent Living for Hillsborough County in the state of Florida, advocating for persons with disabilities and using her skills to build and develop the Board.

She has enjoyed recognition for her design work, fine art and communications abilities and has had written work chosen for publication and presentation at the international conference for inclusive design in London, England and the Pacific Rim International Conference on Disabilities in Honolulu, Hawaii. In January 2011, Kim began conducting the “Design Sandbox” collaborative design workshops, the first of which was held in Dallas, TX for the Dallas Independent Designers Society.

In January 2018, Kimberly chose to take leave of professional design practice and embrace her first love with regard to art…drawing. The graphic style of her work reflects her interests in music, movement, the human body and relationships as well as her passion for inspirational quotes.
