Stephanie Chapman Melo is an abstract artist from Charlotte, NC. Born and raised in the Queen City, Stephanie is passionate about the community she grew up in. Studying art as a child when she was home schooled opened the door to a world outside of herself. As a young adult she spent time studying art at Appalachian State University. While in college she heard the voice of many adults over her own that art wasn’t worth the student loans, and to her dismay she listened. After college, she spent the majority of her career working in finance while traveling the U.S. before finally realizing that a life as an artist was the only job she wanted. Currently Stephanie is focusing on painting and enjoys helping each collector find a piece that speaks to them.
