I am constantly in awe of the beauty of this world, be it natural or man-made. When I see something that touches my soul, I have to paint it! I strive to transform a blank surface, be it paper, canvas or wood, into a color creation that inspires joy in others.
I have a Masters degree in computer applications and worked in the software industry for six years. But I have always been an artist at heart, so I later decided to dedicate my time completely to my two true loves – my family and my art. I have been drawing and painting for over 32 years now and I have been doing it seriously for the past seven years. I have worked with acrylics, oil, water color, graphite, charcoal and mixed media. I have also created a few digital illustrations for books. I love to experiment and rather than limiting myself to a particular style, type or medium, I like to let my creativity wander freely through the wonderful world of art. I believe that there is so much to learn every day, so much to experiment with, and that one lifetime will not be enough to experience it all. I love painting portraits, landmarks, traditional Indian-style art and anything and everything that captures my interest. I have exhibited my work through galleries and art shows in and around Charlotte.
