Tula Stone Jewelry
Charlotte, NC
I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, where I had many adventures in the woods, gathering quartz and other stones. When I first discovered wire-wrapping, I became enthralled with the challenge of wrapping stones of different shapes in various ways. Wire-wrapping evolved into other metal manipulations, such as etching, stamping, riveting, and cutting, and eventually traditional silver smithing. I love playing with metal, so I am always adding new modalities to my skill set. My interest in the esoteric and mystical aspects of life has an influence in my designs, as does my background in teaching science. I enjoy playing with different styles and materials, and creating in new ways. Science, nature, and spirit are my muses. My jewelry is always created with quality materials and inspired craftsmanship, using Sterling, Gold-Fill, Copper, leather, and gemstones… and whatever other materials may strike my fancy!
