Hailing from Chattanooga, TN, but currently based in Milwaukee, WI, Steve Willicombe is a fine arts painter who specializes in acrylic landscapes and still lifes.
After working in youth ministry for 20+ years and then in real estate for nearly as long, he and his wife Terrie are now newly retired nomads, loving “life on the road” in their Airstream, where they travel around the country searching for inspiring scenery, fresh experiences, and new friendships.
Willicombe first started painting seriously in high school with watercolors. By the time he was in college, he was showing his work in art shows all over the Southeast—even winning a few “Best in Show” and “Best in Category” awards. However, it wasn’t until he began working with acrylics in 2020 that he felt like he had finally found his artistic niche.
Now, he works primarily with liquid acrylics on panels, painting the beautiful landscapes and inspiring scenes that he comes across on his travels.
