Ashley Anne Ceramics, Sevierville, TN
Ashley Bales is a ceramic artist based in Sevierville, Tennessee. Rooted in the culture of the South and inspired by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, her work reflects a love for homesteads, heritage, and the natural landscape of East Tennessee.
Ashley earned her BFA in Ceramics from East Tennessee State University in 2012. Today, she balances her time between managing a local arts nonprofit, tending a small homestead with her husband, and nurturing her part-time pottery business.
She creates both functional and decorative pottery in small batches, allowing space for thoughtful, intentional making. Her forms often evoke a sense of simplicity and quiet beauty, celebrating the handmade in everyday life.
In 2023, her work was featured in the Fragile exhibit at Dogwood Arts in Knoxville, TN. Ashley’s pottery is currently available through the Appalachian Arts Craft Center in Clinton, TN and via her website
