Carolyn Dodson Grimm, Huntsville, AL
Carolyn’s not exactly a southern gal, though she has lived in the south for over 50 years, growing up in the Philadelphia area. She began painting as a youngster, continuing to paint as a hobby throughout her life until 1998 when she was able to devote full time to her love of art. She attended numerous colleges as she moved around the country and Central America, finally graduating from middle Tennessee state university in 2000. Throughout her studies she developed a strong background in traditional art. However, upon graduation, Carolyn devoted her focus to an abstract methodology and has been pursuing her love of abstract expressionism ever since. Carolyn has 3 grown children and lives in Huntsville al with her husband.
