Christian loves the outdoors and paints en plein air whenever possible. Her inspiration comes from the landscape, specifically the changing light on the marsh, in the clouds and the migratory birds that pass by with the changing seasons.
Painting in oils and watercolor, her art education has been self-directed, studying most recently with Shanna Kunz, Jill Steenhuis, Addren Doss and Sally B. Miller. She enjoys painting in a regular group from which she receives kind and helpful critiques and support.
