Dan Murphy, Chapel Hill, NC
2016 begins Dan Murphy’s 41st year as a full time artist. Dan’s abstract metal sculptures are now located in nearly all 50 states and many other countries. Additionally, during the last 10 years, Dan has been creating metal jewelry resembling his sculpture. His work is very contemporary, in the interior design sense of the word. It has been used in many Hollywood movies and TV productions. Most of his sculptures are designed for and placed in homes. Many, though, are in commercial settings. Dan lives above his studio and gallery in downtown Chapel Hill.
