Lyz Kelk – Lyz, a computer science graduate, held onto her passion for art for decades. Influenced by her grandmother’s inherited watercolors, she fused them with encaustics and ephemera. In 2019, she decided to sell her work in NC shows and co-founded SlowDanceArt with a friend. As retirement approaches, she has expanded into photography. Her unique flower portraits, captured from her own garden, are blended with her signature wax and ephemera. This adds a unique dimension to her art, bridging together the traditional and the contemporary.
