My art career began as a high school senior when a local architectural firm used my botanical drawings to enhance landscape elevations on their conceptual designs. As a college student my art skills were used to assist in paying college tuition by drawing caricatures in the local shopping malls as well as accepting commissions to do murals in various churches and other public establishments. After graduating from a HBCU as an engineering major with a minor in industrial arts my career was set on two very complementary paths. As my tech work carried me to different locations I would paint and draw landscapes, seascapes, and capture things unique to the area as well as pictorialize my love for animals. Initially, my art patrons were solely co-workers along with their family and friends, ultimately, a few of the very charitable art patrons enjoyed my artwork to the degree of sponsoring an elegant one-man art show in my behalf, it was a huge success. This kind act initiated additional one-man art shows as well as invitational participation in various art festivals around the country.
