In 2012, Black Black Moon erupted from a delirious passion for expression of the human spirit through creating adornments. Black Black Moon uses cast-off vintage materials harvested from shuttered manufacturing mills. These components are mixed with gemstones and evocative natural materials to create wearable art.
The Black Black Moon woman is independent, strong and playful. I studied illustration at the Rhode Island School of design, while expressing narrative though personal style and observing market trends. I discovered that trends become trends because something familiar enters the psyche of our souls.
Studying the ancient past, I am attracted to stone and metal that trigger memories that excite me to no end. I hope to translate that level of enchantment in the work while embracing individual style.
A common ground amongst all cultures is the use of jewelry to define individuality though symbolism. Black Black Moon customers are a collective who embrace the mystic realm of gemstones, follow their own celestial trails while holding their talismans tightly.
