Jana Baker has been painting as a self-taught artist for over twenty-five years. It was in December 2009 that she fulfilled her dream and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Studio Painting. Known for her ability to capture and harness light and shadow, she paints a variety of themes, including portraits, animals, and landscapes, among other subjects in acrylic. Jana’s reputation as an award-winning North Carolinian artist extends to various parts of the United States, as many of her works hang in private homes throughout the East coast. She is inspired by nature, color, and life, as reflected in her eclectic subject matter, offering “something-for-everybody” in the market for fine art pieces to decorate the home or commemorate the memory of a loved family member, human or animal.
