Charleston, SC based artist LJ Eidolon has a love for context, color, art history, and the surreal. With a background of 20 years in oil painting, collage, and assemblage, this new body of work is the continuation of these techniques in a digital realm.
Eidolon’s work resides in private collections across the United States as well as Europe and has been featured in multiple publications including the New York Times Style Magazine, Art in America, Nashville Scene, San Francisco Weekly and Atlanta Journal Constitution. Also, pleased to announce a forthcoming solo exhibit at the Arlington Museum of Art as a compelling complement to their feature exhibition, A Knight’s Tale. The exhibit, entitled LJ Eidolon: Dreams, Allegory, and Gestalt, will run from October 22, 2022 – February 12, 2023, in the AMA Rooftop Gallery.
About the work- Dreams, allegory, gestalt: the essence of the surreal state. Inspiration flows from the shoulders of our ancestral pool. From the hand of ancient masters to the code of modern microscopic machines. New dreams are born.
