I am an upcoming watercolor artist in Asheville, I began my art journey when Covid lockdown began in 2020. I have gone all in to create a second career in art. I have loved watercolors since I was a child but had no big interest in art.
I often feel like the character in Alice Walker’s The Color Purple who in her death bed finds herself enraptured by color. I know this is my true love because regardless of how a painting turns out, I am eager to get on the ride again.
What do I want for my viewer? Nothing but a pause to take in a wee bit of loveliness.
