I have been in the beauty business for over 35 years, first as a hair stylist and salon owner, afterwards as a beauty products manufacturer creating my own hair and skin beauty line. I was born in NYC and raised my two boys just outside in the suburbs. I graduated from Fordham University with a B.S. in Science and later The School of Visual Arts, NYC. My interest in beauty, science and art all came together in my paintings.
I paint in the expressionistic style and study the human condition with all its potential and all its faults. “Our greatest gift is the imagination and yet we are stuck with the mundane, getting and spending.” There are many mysteries in this world and yet many of us reside within a zombie mentality of television and passive thinking. We are hand-fed by the media.
I paint and explore every day. My subject are the ever trusting souls surrendered to spirituality or the absolutist mind. The process of getting an spending according to Wordsworth has always unsettled me. We all reside somewhere between the sacred and the profane, never alone in a social relationship always alone as a human traveler.
