I’ve always been creating things since I can remember. My jewelry making adventures started about 15 years ago with “stones on a stick”, evolving over time into designs where I could control all aspects of the piece by using small glass beads and a wide range of techniques. My inspiration is the stones or other components I start with. I believe it is important that art tells a story, evokes an emotion, or connects to a memory. That philosophy carries over into my jewelry designs – each piece has a story to tell. The jewelry can take hundreds or thousands of tiny Japanese seed beads, each stitched individually or in a small groups, frequently with multiple thread passes through each bead. The quality of the beads and the unique nature of components and the finished pieces is very important.
