Mary Scarborough

My “dot” – or pointillism – art, is inspired by my keen interest in aboriginal paintings, Buddhist mandalas and humans’ innate attraction to circles.

I strive to create art that celebrates these inspirations and includes my personal preferences for subject matter, texture, and color pallets.

Through my work, I aim to capture more joyful depictions of “ordinary” animals and scenes and convey the serenity that circle mandalas represent.

When I’m not in my art studio, you can find me on nature walks in the spectacular North Carolina mountains (with my French bulldog, Tallulah), testing new recipes, and most importantly, spending precious time with my family and friends.

I am eager to connect with fellow art enthusiasts and share stories behind my – and their – creations.
