I live in the mountains of western North Carolina and am inspired by the natural beauty and forms that surround me. My work is not premeditated, most of the forms occur in the moment and are highly dictated by the grain and patterns of the wood, I enjoy the process of creating and listening to the wood, rather than forcing and manipulating it to be what I expected or want. Mostly I make things that are functional and usable such as serving trays and cutting boards but will make just about anything if the wood calls me to do so.
