Ronnie Johnson is a husband, father of 3 and grandfather of twins. He is a Charlottean, born and raise. He started out drawing sports cars at age 9; and continued his love for art throughout high school. He later attended Winston-Salem State University and received his B.A. in Fine Arts & Studio. There, he fell in love with painting Protraits. Ronnie has been doing commissioned work for the last 30 years for family, friends, and co-workers. His first love is oil painting because of the way it mixes and blends so well together. The other mediums he uses are acrylics, pencils, colored pencils, and pastels. Now at the age of 63, Ronnie participated in his first exhibition which was Kings Drive Art Walk, then The Juneteenth Festival. Ronnie is now preparing to enter the 59th Annual Festival in the Park Exhibit.
