As a newer resident to the Carolina’s, I am so pleased to be part of this beautiful community. I have moved from the west coast of California to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to my final destination, South Carolina. I have studied fine arts, specifically painting since the late 60’s attending a community college as a High School student in California. Then continued my studies throughout college, then obtaining my teaching credential in two states while continuing with my art career. Now residing in South Carolina, I am pursing my full-time passion for the fine arts in the medias of oil, graphic and acrylic. I have taught art to both children and adults, in groups and privately. Now, I am continuing with my first love, oil painting.
My paintings reflect the beauty that surrounds all of us in everyday life. A moment, a feeling, a touch are the hopes that tie us all together. I use my feelings, perceptions and emotions to choose a theme or image to paint. From my Plein Air painting group to traveling, I take a plethora of photographs that inspire me to create paintings for studio time. Using the available professional materials gives me the opportunity to paint visions of my inspirations with variety that sparks my interest and creativity.
