In the time-honored tradition of hand-blown and sculpted glass, Tim Burke has enjoyed more than three decades focusing his creative energy in the exploration of the possibilities and limitations of this mesmerizing medium. Much of his professional career has been spent in glass design and operations management for production-oriented companies such as Lunt’s Silversmiths, Simon Pierce Glass Inc, and currently for Daley Acquistions of Floyd VA.
He owned and operated his private studio, Vitroyoyo Glass, for 17 years before partnering with The Daley Family. Tim currently serves as the glass department head and lead gaffer for Daley Glassworks LLC where he continues to develop his skills and expertise in pursuit of the beauty and qualities inherent only to molten glass. “My passion for glass is unwavering, I’m regularly humbled and reminded of just how difficult it can be to create beautiful works in glass. I’m continually rewarded with better understanding of each subtlety and nuance offered in each and every composition.”
