Vanessa Thorman Fine Art, Charlotte, NC
Charlotte artist Vanessa Thorman embarked on her creative journey as a self-taught watercolor artist during the pandemic. Prior to 2020, she had never even picked up a watercolor brush. Through hours of practice, Vanessa’s skills have developed quite remarkably, earning her several awards in both regional and national art exhibitions.
Fueled by a profound love for animals, Vanessa’s artwork aims to create an immersive experience where the subject is not merely observed but genuinely seen, fostering a connection that unites humans and animals in a shared moment of recognition and understanding. Her paintings serve as a heartfelt tribute to their presence in her life, celebrating their grace, beauty, and distinctive personalities.
Her work has been shown at exhibits in San Diego, CA (2024 – The Crow Show, Back Door Studios), Laguna Beach, CA (2023 – Small Works, Big Talent, Las Lagunas Gallery), as well as local shows in Charlotte and Mooresville.
