Walnut Hill Crafts, Grassy Creek, NC
Walnut Hill Crafts, Inc. was established in 1976 by Walter Jacobus and Barbara Greenberg, in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina.
It all began by our doing kiosk in the malls for 13 years during the Holiday Season. By 1987 we also added participation in wholesale shows throughout the country, which we did for 28 years. Now our present state of mind is making it more fun again by doing a few chosen craft shows and freeing up some time for more unusual one of a kind pieces.
We have been recycling Am. Chestnut split rail fences into vases, clocks etc. since 1978 and have recycled more than 50,000 rails!
We also create works of art such as vases, wooden trees, birdhouses, candle holders, etc. from other downed trees or recycled beams from our community.
We also make our version of several traditional folk toys, along with creating other toys, games, puzzles and swings.
