61st annual Festival in the Park is back Sept. 19 – 21!
Nearly 200 artists and their work will be showcased with live music and dance performances, food and activities for all visitors
CHARLOTTE (Sept. 4, 2025) — Festival in the Park (www.FESTIVALinthePARK.org ) returns for its 61st year in Freedom Park from September 19-21 with a diverse assortment of live performances, food and drink — and a record number of artisans displaying their works. More than 125,000 visitors from across the state are expected to attend this year’s Festival.

Julie Whitney Austin walks into Calle Sol SouthPark on a sweltering summer evening looking every bit the part of southern sophistication, her white jacket cuffed at the elbow, and a vintage Hermès scarf loosely tied around her neck. The scarf is a cherished piece that once belonged to her mother. Austin’s daughter, son-in-law and infant granddaughter trail close behind, tagging along for moral support.

Kings Drive Art Walk kicks off 15th year at the Little Sugar Creek Greenway
May event to feature 100+ artists from across the US
Charlotte, N.C. (April 4, 2025) — Kings Drive Art Walk (KDAW) returns to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway on Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. With a wide array of fine arts on display and for sale, the KDAW also features performances by acoustic musicians arranged along one of Charlotte’s most scenic outdoor settings. This 15th annual Kings Drive Art Walk is free and open to the public.
